Airbus has started final assembly of the first A350-1000 on schedule at the A350 XWB Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. Assembly of the main airframe sections of the first A350 XWB for China Airlines is advancing at Airbus’ Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Toulouse, France. This involves the assembly of the wing-fuselage junction, the installation of the tailplane and also the tailcone. Airbus delivers record aircraft in 2015, breaks even on A380
Airbus has exceeded its targets for 2015, achieving a new record of 635 aircraft deliveries for 85 customers of which 10 are new. These deliveries comprise: 491 A320 Family aircraft; 103 A330s; 27 A380s; and 14 A350 XWBs. This production achievement means that Airbus’ aircraft deliveries in 2015 were up for the 13th year in a row, surpassing the previous year-end delivery record of 629 aircraft – set in 2014. Airbus begins construction of first A350-1000 fuselage
Airbus factories are preparing the first fuselage structures for the new A350-1000. Following the recent delivery of the A350-1000’s first forward fuselage by the Airbus Group subsidiary Premium Aerotec (in Nordenham, Germany), to Airbus’ Hamburg plant for systems installation, the section was subsequently delivered to Airbus Saint-Nazaire plant to be mated with the cockpit fuselage panels (from Aerolia). China’s state procurement body orders 130 Airbus aircraft
China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) has signed a General Terms Agreement (GTA) with Airbus for the acquisition of 30 A330 Family aircraft and 100 A320 Family aircraft. The 30 A330s are the firm up of the commitment signed in June 2015.
