GoAir has said it plans to introduce five new aircraft over the next 12 months, adding to its current fleet of six. The carrier also plans to add 5-6 aircraft to its fleet each year until 2012, when it expects to operate a total of 31 A320s. GoAir reportedly plans to utilise the new aircraft primarily by increasing frequency on existing routes, rather then launching new services. Bank of China-owned BOC Aviation has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways. A second aircraft will be delivered at the end of this month and the remaining five are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011. All aircraft are on long term leases.
