Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) last week released the traffic figures of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for February 2021. During the month, cargo throughput was 310,000 tonnes, up 23.3 percent year-on-year increase, whilst freighter movements surged 36.8 percent to 4,615, from the 3,374 recorded during the same month last year. Hong Kong International Airport’s cargo operations is slowly getting back to the pre-Covid levels as December saw a 0.2 percent year-on-year drop in cargo handled at 443,000 tonnes. HKIA’s total cargo throughput in 2020 remained relatively stable at 4.5 million tonnes, recording a 7 percent year-on-year drop. HK Airport Authority prices maiden US$1.5 billion perpetual bonds
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced its dual-tranche debt securities offering of US$1.5 billion, split between US$750 million non-call 5.5-year and US$750 million non-call 7.5-year perpetual capital securities.
