Shanghai is now open to e-AWB
Pudong Airport (PVG), Shanghai Customs, have implemented Customs e-Release for both export and import for general cargo (not including express cargo). As a consequence, a stamp on the paper AWB for Customs clearance is no longer required, hence removing the requirement of paper Master AWB. Cargo activity handling in Abu Dhabi International Airport rose to 67,881 tonnes during the month of September, representing a 9.6 per cent increase when compared to 61,913 tonnes in September 2013. The airport has also reported a 23.9 per cent increase in passenger traffic as compared to last year. Abu Dhabi Airports reported a 5.7 per cent increase in cargo tonnage handled in July 2014 when compared to July 2013, reaching 67,456 tonnes. Aircraft movements reached 13,188, representing a 16.1 per cent increase over the 11,355 movements reported in July 2013 and the airport also recorded a 21.7 per cent increase in passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport for the month of July. Hactl deploys electric patrol vehicles
Hong Kong Cargo handler Hactl has deployed two electric vehicles to enable security staff to increase the frequency of patrols, and respond to any incidents more quickly. Singapore Changi Airport handled 155,000 tonnes of cargo in July 2014, a decline of 2.4 per cent from a year ago. Flight movements dipped 2.6 per cent to 28,200 during the month.
