Cargo B takes delivery of second B747-400F
Belgian-based cargo airline, Cargo B has recently taken delivery of its second, new Boeing 747-400 freighter. Like its first new build B747-400 freighter delivered in December, the new aircraft is also leased from the airline's strategic partner, Nippon Cargo Airlines, and will start operations from Brussels on 17 May. TNT has invested €12 million (US$16.7 million) in a new 40,000 m2 mega hub at the Milano Linate city airport. EADS first-quarter profit tumbles 40%
Airbus parent EADS reported first-quarter net income of €170 million (US$232 million), down 40 per cent from €285 million a year earlier, as net commercial aircraft orders dropped dramatically year-on-year to eight compared to 395 in last year's first quarter.
