IATA: Air cargo on recovery path, down 8 percent in September

Global cargo demand contracted 8 percent YoY (-9.9 percent for international operations) but grew 3.7 percent over the previous month in September, whilst global capacity shrank 25.2 percent YoY (28 percent for international operations), data from IATA showed. The shrink in capacity was three times larger than the contraction in demand, indicating a severe lack of capacity in the market, the trade group noted. DHL Express expects ‘extraordinary’ peak volume in Asia Pacific

DHL Express says its global network can expect more than 50 percent increase in volumes during the 2020 peak season, compared to 2019. dnata teams up with local ground handler to amp up Indonesian airport

Air services provider dnata has inked a deal with Jakarta-based PT UNEX Rajawali Indonesia or UNEX, a local ground handling and cargo warehouse company, to enhance ground handling capacity in Indonesian airports.  The tie-up will see dnata and UNEX make joint investments in facilities, equipment and training, with dnata designating senior operational and management staff to support the partnership. SingPost eyes stake in Australian 4PL to boost e-commerce push

Hong Kong’s waiver on airport fees extended until year-end

FedEx Express to open US$30 million Clark facility in April
