Silk Way West kicks off SIN, KMQ with new B747-8F
Azerbaijan-based Silk Way West Airlines has taken delivery of its third B747-8F (with two more on order) with the carrier saying it will use the new freighter to launch services to Singapore (SIN) and Komatsu (KMQ) in Japan. Komatsu is a major manufacturing centre for construction equipment and woven fabric, including carbon fibre used in an increasing number of industries like automotive and aerospace. Panalpina adds cargo calls in Baku
Swiss-company Panalpina is adding calls in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. Scheduled charters that are operated by Silk Way West Airlines and fly between Luxembourg and Shanghai now call in Baku four times per week. Silk Way deploys 747-8 freighters, which are particularly well-suited for the transport of outsized oil and gas equipment and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. Silk Way receives two Boeing 747-8 freighters
Azerbaijan-based cargo carrier Silk Way has taken delivery of its two new Boeing 747-8 freighters. The two aircrafts were delivered last week. Both new 747-8 Freighters will bring new levels of efficiency to Silk Way.
