North Carolina-based SkyLease Cargo has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for exemption authority to operate scheduled cargo (property and mail) flights between the US and Hong Kong via intermediate points and beyond to points in third countries. Saudi Airlines Cargo has launched a new dedicated freighter service to Paris/Charles de Gaulle starting 22 May. This brings their destinations covered in France to 21 freighter destination. The new B747-400 freighter flights will operate twice a week to Paris/Charles de Gaulle on routing. The Singapore Airlines Group earned an operating profit of SG$39 million (US$31.2 million) in the first quarter of the 2014-15 financial year, $43 million (-52.4 per cent) lower than last year.
