The Indian government has approved modernisation and expansion projects at Kolkata and Chennai airports that will bring the facilities to "international standard" at a combined cost of US$900 million. LAX cargo volumes continue to slide
Cargo volumes at Los Angeles International Airport sank for the seventh straight month, dropping 7.6 per cent in June, led by a 17.8 per cent plunge in domestic freight traffic and left overall cargo traffic at LAX, including mail, down 6.5 per cent in the first half of 2008 compared to last year.
