IAG may purchase stake in American Airlines
The International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (IAG), owner of British Airways, may buy a stake in American Airlines to pre-empt a similar move by a rival, the UK’s Sunday Times reported. IAG has been prompted to consider the step as US Airways Group Inc. and Delta Air Lines Inc. also may bid for US-based American, according to the report. Cargolux takes delivery of third B747-8F
Cargolux has accepted its third B747-8 freighter at the end of March joining a fleet of nine B747-400F, three B747-400BCF and two B747-8F. The new aircraft was originally due in late 2011 but the delivery was pushed back by programme delays at Boeing.
