Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd (MAG) has appointed Peter Bellew as the new group managing director and CEO of Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAS) in place of Christoph Mueller who resigned unexpectedly after serving about half his three-year term. In a surprise move Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) CEO and managing director Christoph Mueller has announced his departure from the airline effective September 2016, but intends to remain as its non-executive director. Malaysia Airlines Bhd to operate new A350-900s
The recently-relaunched Malaysian national carrier that was rebranded from Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) to Malaysia Airlines Berhard (MAB), has signed a contract with US-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC) for the long-term lease of four new A350-900s. Christoph Mueller assumed leadership of the Malaysia Airlines Group on 1 May 2015 following a decision by its sole shareholder, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, to accelerate the leadership transition to enable Mueller to be in the executive capacity to lead the overall restructuring of MAS.
