Swissport seals key contracts in Japan with Cebu Pacific
Swissport is now an exclusive partner of Cebu Pacific in Japan after the latest contract wins at the Osaka (KIX) and Fukuoka (FUK) airports. With the addition of KIX and FUK, Swissport will now support the low-cost airline at all Japanese stations with operations at Nagoya (NGO) and Tokyo's Narita (NRT) and Haneda (HND) airports. Swissport International AG last week announced that it has taken full ownership of its joint venture in Korea after it bought the remaining 41 percent of shares. The value of the transaction was not stated but the ground and cargo handler, which first entered the market in 2005 together with local partners, is confident in Korea’s aviation market and its growth potential. Swissport expands in Vienna with new cargo terminals
Swissport has signed a 7-year lease for two air cargo terminals near Vienna Airport as the company aims to expand its cargo activities and build its share in forwarder handling. The adjacent 8,000-sqm warehouses are part of the Deutsche Logistik Holding‘s ‘SkyLog Park Vienna’ in Austria’s Fischamend region, the company said.
