Cologne-Bonn Airport through its supervisory board has unanimously elected Thilo Schmid as the new CEO of the German air hub with immediate effect. MNG Airlines expands at CGN with A330P2F
Istanbul-based carrier MNG Airlines was welcomed at its European air hub at Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) as it launched a new regular CGN-JFK service with its newly converted A330-300P2F. The addition of the widebody freighter, which can carry up to 63 tonnes per flight, now brings the total of MNG’s growing freighter fleet to 9 units. Cologne airport cargo up 2% in 2014
Cologne Bonn Airport saw record air cargo growth in 2014, handling 753,000 tonnes, a 2 per cent increase on 2013. The German airport handled 9.5 million passengers in 2014 – a “significant rise” over prior year. “2014 has exceeded our expectations.
