Delta posts Q4 loss of US$1.4 billion
Delta Air Lines lost US$1.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2008, including a massive one-time special charge related to its merger with Northwest Airlines, along with losses from fuel hedges. Delta aims to trim 2,000 staff
Delta Air Lines, which took over rival Northwest Airlines last year, said it expects about 2,000 staff to opt for early retirement as it aims to trim capacity by up to 8 per cent this year.
