Distracted’ US pilots loose their licences

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has revoked the licenses of two Northwest Airlines pilots who flew 150 miles beyond their destination last week as a result of being distracted by a cockpit discussion of airline policy, they claimed . Delta posts Q4 loss of US$1.4 billion

Delta aims to trim 2,000 staff

Delta Air Lines, which took over rival Northwest Airlines last year, said it expects about 2,000 staff to opt for early retirement as it aims to trim capacity by up to 8 per cent this year.
