DHL Supply Chain to invest $173M in China
DHL Supply Chain (DSC) announced that it will commit a further EUR 113 million (US$173 million) in China as its strategy gains traction. This is on the back of EUR 105 million that was committed in 2013, bringing the total committed to EUR 218 million. DHL deploys new intra-Asia air routes
DHL has launched a new intra-Asia flight, connecting the economies of Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The flight commenced on 3 November, connecting Bangkok, Hanoi and Hong Kong five times per week. Utilising a newly converted B737-400SF freighter featuring a gross payload of 21 tonnes, the route will be operated by K-Mile Air of Thailand, a partner of DHL. Air Transport Services Group, a provider of medium wide-body aircraft leasing, air cargo transportation and related services, reported consolidated financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2014.
