Cargo on the up for Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific Airways today released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for October 2015 showing growth in both the number of passengers carried and the amount of cargo and mail uplifted compared to the same month in 2014. Cathay Cargo expecting traditional winter peak season

Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried 151,000 tonnes of cargo and mail in September, an increase of 2.8 per cent compared to the same month last year. Cathay Pacific Airways and Dragonair released traffic figures for August 2015 showing only a slight increase in the volume of cargo and mail uplifted compared to the same month last year, while passenger numbers grew 8.5 per cent. Cathay Pacific sees six-fold rise in 1H net profit

The Cathay Pacific Group has reported an attributable profit of HK$1,972 million (US$254.4 million) for the first six months of 2015. This is nearly a six-fold jump from the HK$347 million profit in the first half of 2014. Revenue for the period decreased by 0.9 per cent to HK$50,388 million.
