Deutsche Post DHL completes UK Mail acquisition
Deutsche Post DHL Group has completed its US$315.5 million acquisition of UK Mail. Both EU and UK regulatory bodies gave the green light for the deal in late 2016 and the companies have moved to cancel the listing of UK Mail Group plc shares, amend the company’s Articles of Association and will add UK Mail’s operations to the European parcel network of Deutsche Post DHL Group. Toll Global Forwarding, Paul Coutts, has been appointed to the position of Group CEO of Singapore Post (SingPost) and also as a non-independent Director member of its Board, effective 1 June 2017. China’s lastest cargo carrier gets green light
Guangzhou-based China Air Cargo has provisionally secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The CAAC announced its decision on 7 November saying that once all formalities are completed, the cargo carrier will be able to operate domestic Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) as well as international cargo flights.
