China’s lastest cargo carrier gets green light

Guangzhou-based China Air Cargo has provisionally secured its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The CAAC announced its decision on 7 November saying that once all formalities are completed, the cargo carrier will be able to operate domestic Chinese (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) as well as international cargo flights. Boeing announces Next-Gen B737-800 conversions

Boeing has announced the launch of the Next-Generation B737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) with orders and commitments for up to 55 conversions from seven customers. The first B737-800BCF is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2017. AEI announces order for 15 B737-800SF conversions

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has placed an order for 15 B737-800SF conversions with options for an additional 15 freighters. AEI will commence the conformity B737-800SF modification in 2016 and expects to receive FAA Supplemental Type Certification in 2017. INDIA: Jet Airways launches inaugural Riyadh service

Jet Airways has launched its inaugural service to Riyadh, the capital and largest city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from the Indian financial capital of Mumbai complementing the airline’s existing daily Mumbai-Jeddah service. New Abu Dhabi services for Air India Express

Korean Air extends China network

Korean Air has announced it will add two non-stop services to China from Incheon International Airport in Seoul, beginning 27 May. This will bring Korean Air's services between Incheon International Airport, Seoul, and Xi’an, a western city in China to five flights per week using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
