Finnair completes rollout of its €200 million new long-haul cabin
Finnair has completed the rollout of its new 200 million euro long-haul cabin renewal, with all long-haul aircraft now refurbished. The project included the launch of an entirely new Business Class seat, a brand-new Premium Economy cabin, and a refreshed Economy Class, giving customers the ultimate onboard experience. Finnair’s first A350 XWB makes its maiden flight
The first A350 XWB for Finnair has completed its first flight in Toulouse. The aircraft will now enter the final production phase including further ground checks and flight tests. The aircraft is scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks. Finnair will become the first airline in Europe to operate the A350 XWB and the third operator in the world. Finnair to build new cargo terminal
Finnair plans to invest approximately €80 million (US$87.76 million) into a new cargo terminal at Helsinki Airport, near the airline’s technical operations area. Construction of the 377,000-square-foot facility is to begin immediately, with opening anticipated for spring 2017.
