Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) has announced it has renewed its cargo handling contract with Air China Cargo Co., Ltd. extending its cooperation with FCS for the seventh consecutive year. A customer of FCS since 2009, Air China Cargo renewed the contract well in advance of the date required. Fraport’s July cargo figures continue to suggest a recovery with Frankfurt Airport’s (FRA) rate of decline in airfreight moving into the single-figure range for the first time this year. Cargo decline slows in June at Frankfurt
Europe’s busiest air cargo hub, Frankfurt airport, has reported a slowing decline in cargo traffic in June. Frankfurt handled 148,211 tonnes of cargo in June, a 16.5 per cent drop from a year earlier that followed year-on-year declines of 17.1 per cent and 24.9 per cent in May and April respectively.
