The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released full-year air cargo data for 2014 showing 4.5 per cent demand growth compared to 2013 measured by freight tonne kilometres (FTKs), marking a "significant acceleration" from the 1.4 per cent recorded in 2013 over 2012. IATA: Asia cargo carriers optimistic of rising demand
The latest Airline Business Confidence Index from the International Air Transport Association has indicated carriers in Asia are more optimistic of a stabilisation of profitability over the next twelve months, compared with their counterparts in Europe and North America.
