Hong Kong’s leading MRO and aircraft services providers have expressed their positive support to the “Joint Maintenance Management Cooperation Arrangement” between China, Hong Kong and Macao. HAECO America has signed an agreement with 321 Precision Conversions to provide heavy maintenance and structural modifications for its Airbus A321 aircraft passenger-to-freighter conversions. HAECO says extensive interior and exterior modifications will be made to convert the aircraft from passenger to cargo use, which will be performed at its Lake City, Florida facility starting next year. HAECO Hong Kong has signed a long-term agreement to provide component maintenance support for Russian carrier Aeroflot. The scope of the new agreement will cover component repair and overhaul, as well as loan and exchange services for Aeroflot’s commercial aircraft fleet, including its Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A350; Boeing 737 and 777; and Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. HAECO has appointed Klaus-Peter Leinauer as vice president of the group’s new commercial division for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. HAECO completes B737-800SF conversion for Air Incheon
HAECO Xiamen has successfully completed its first AEI B737-800SF freighter conversion as an authorised conversion centre for Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI). The aircraft (MSN 29917) was redelivered to aircraft lessor Aviation Holdings III Investments, which will be operated by South Korean cargo airline Air Incheon.
