Cathay Pacific Airways will launch a new four-times-weekly non-stop service from Hong Kong to Boston, Massachusetts, on 2 May 2015, subject to government approval. Singapore Airlines has followed the lead of other major airlines by announcing it will end the carriage of shipments of shark fins. "SIA Cargo has been carrying out a thorough review, taking into account the increasing concerns around the world related to shark finning. AAT sees continued rise in throughput for July
Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) has announced that its tonnage throughput in July 2010 was 61,363 tonnes, recording a growth of 44 per cent compared with the same period last year. Export cargo registered 42,808 tonnes, a growth of 53 per cent when compared with the same month last year. Import cargo volume for July was 18,154 tonnes, up 27 per cent while transhipment cargo volume was 402 tonnes, down 20 per cent when compared against corresponding period in 2009.
