DHL has launched a new intra-Asia flight, connecting the economies of Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The flight commenced on 3 November, connecting Bangkok, Hanoi and Hong Kong five times per week. Utilising a newly converted B737-400SF freighter featuring a gross payload of 21 tonnes, the route will be operated by K-Mile Air of Thailand, a partner of DHL. The pace of e-AWB adoption has been steadily on the rise since 2014, according to IATA. August 2014 was the single fastest e-AWB growth in one month, with 2 per cent achieved globally.
