Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) has announced it handled 51,380 tonnes of cargo in October, down 3 per cent year-on-year. Export cargo registered 36,093 tonnes, a decline of 3 per cent against same period last year. Import cargo volume for October was 14,930 tonnes, recording a decrease of 4 per cent from last year. Air Cargo Germany commences line haul flights
Air Cargo Germany (ACG) is set to begin its first line haul services to Shanghai and Hong Kong following approval from the Chinese authorities for traffic rights to both destinations, according to the carrier. TNT puts own freighter on HK, Europe route
Express operator TNT is enhancing its service capacity between China and Europe with the addition of a new dedicated B747-400ER freighter. Non-stop flights will operate between Hong Kong and TNT's European air hub in Belgium. June figures up for Cathay, but yields hurting
Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways and its subsidiary Dragonair have reported moderating declines in cargo tonnage with the two carriers uplifting a total 123,860 tonnes of cargo and mail in June, down 10 per cent on June 2008. The airline's cargo spokesman said June cargo traffic was down year-on-year, though the monthly drop was the lowest so far this year.
