Agility Qatar has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into merger discussions with the Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), a company listed on the Doha Securities Market. The GAC Group has opened a new sales office to meet what it says are growing demands for logistics services in Poland. Belgian logistics firm invests in Singapore
Logistics company Katoen Natie is spending some US$39.4 million in its third phase of expansion, taking its total investments in Singapore to $98.6 million. The Belgian firm has been operating in Singapore since 1997 providing logistics and semi-industrial services to the specialty chemical and petrochemical industry. Indian logistics council to be created
Hampered by inadequate transport infrastructure and a disorganised logistics sector, India’s national government has announced it is forming a council to help develop the sector. No timeframe for its establishment has been confi rmed, however.
