The German Red Cross and Lufthansa Cargo have flown more than 15,000 camp beds in recent days from North America to Germany. On Tuesday morning Lufthansa flight LH419 from Washington landed at the airline's hub in Frankfurt, with the B747-8I carrying approximately 1,000 camp beds. Lufthansa ends three Russian routes
Lufthansa is scaling back operations to Russia, as it discontinues three destinations from Frankfurt to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow Vnukovo as the routes have become unprofitable. The German airlines will operate the last flights to Samara and Nizhny Novgorod September 6 and 7, respectively. The last Frankfurt-Moscow Vnukovo service is planned for August 30. Lufthansa, ANA to launch joint Europe-Asia service
Lufthansa Cargo and All Nippon Airways Cargo will launch joint freight services from Europe to Japan on August 3, eight months after they joined forces on the westbound route. Both airlines are expanding their joint venture for freight consignments to routes from Europe to Japan.
