WFS wins Lufthansa and Swiss WorldCargo contracts in Johannesburg
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has expanded its cargo handling operation at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) to accommodate new contracts with Lufthansa and Swiss WorldCargo, a press release confirmed. WFS expects to handle 23,000 tonnes per annum for the two airlines, which have both signed three-year handling agreements starting 1 September. Air cargo booking platform cargo.one bags $18.6 million in series A funding
Berlin-based cargo.one, which runs a platform and marketplace for booking air cargo, raised $18.6 million in series A funding led by Index Venture, the company said in a press release. Munich Airport’s Terminal 1 will be back in operation starting in July
