South Africa's Competition Commission has referred eight air cargo carriers to the Competition Tribunal for alleged collusive behaviour that took place over a ten-year period, from 1996 to 2006. Air France-KLM Cargo said it will strengthen its position in the Japanese market by reinstating freighter flights from CDG-Paris and by operating three additional Combi flights from SPL-Amsterdam on commercially high-demanding days. Martinair Cargo returned to San Jose, Costa Rica effective 7 May after temporarily suspending service since November 2008.
