Air cargo volume back to pre-Covid levels after 10 months
Air cargo volumes have recovered to pre-Covid volume levels in February, perhaps an unprecedented feat in just 10 months, according to latest data from industry analysts CLIVE Data Services and TAC Index. For the four weeks of February, chargeable weight was down 1 percent compared to February 2019 and up 2 percent compared to the same month last year. Air cargo demand stalls in November
The peak was not the peak season that was hoped for in November as air cargo demand fell 1 percentage point year-over-year. Air cargo saw the first decline since the road to recovery started six months ago, according to the latest industry statistics from analysts CLIVE Data Services and TAC Index. ‘Dynamic load factors’ more realistic for air cargo, TIACA says
TIACA is calling for the use of the dynamic load factor methodology as the industry standard for measuring the utilisation of air cargo capacity. Introduced in 2019 by CLIVE Data Services, this methodology measures how full an aircraft is by considering both freight volume and weight. Global air cargo’s steady rally continues in August
Global air cargo was in its fourth straight month of growth in August as load factors jumped eight percentage points year on year, data from CLIVE Data Services and TAC Index showed.
