QA to implement paperless freight transactions
Qatar Airways Cargo and Qatar Customs have signed an MoU for the use of electronic air waybill (e-AWB). The document was signed by Qatar Airways chief officer cargo, Ulrich Ogiermann and Mohammed Ahmed Al Mohannadi, operations and risk analysis department manager of customs in the presence of senior officials from both companies. Qatar Airways took delivery of its highly anticipated first A380. With 10 A380-800s on order, the carrier is preparing to take delivery of four of them before the end of this year. Qatar CEO threatens Airbus orders over slots
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al Baker has threatened to reconsider his airline's outstanding Airbus orders should the Abu Dhabi-based carrier fail to obtain requested slots at European airports. “If they (European airport slots) are limited further, we will stop buying European aircraft.
