TSA claims 100% screening a success, but int’l in a “few years”

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has said the 1 August deadline for 100% screening of air cargo on domestic passenger aircraft was successfully implemented, but that the same goal for international cargo would only be met in a "few years" time. The TSA said it is continuing its work to improve cargo security on passenger flights originating in other countries, with TSA administrator John S. TSA will likely not meet 100% screening mandate

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will miss a congressionally mandated deadline to screen 100 per cent of US-bound air cargo by the first of August, US lawmakers noted recently. Security training for pharma customers

DHL and American Airlines Cargo have started offering joint training to educate pharmaceutical customers on how best to comply with the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP). The training includes discussion on the required process for becoming a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). Congressional report questions TSA scan plan

The ambitious plan by the US Transportation Security Administration to screen all 3.5 million tonnes of cargo transported annually on passenger airliners in the US may come up short, according to a report by Congress' Government Accountability Office (GAO).
