Virgin Atlantic is set to announce an order for up to twelve A350-1000s according to a report in Bloomberg. Quoting unnamed sources, the news wire said the UK carrier is expected to acquire nine of the aircraft with the remainder to be leased. Virgin invests in lightweight Dyneema cargo nets
Virgin Atlantic Cargo is to start using lightweight air cargo nets with Dyneema, as part of its ongoing contribution towards the airline’s target of reducing aircraft CO2 emissions by 30 per cent by 2020. Virgin Australia will launch its own cargo service from 1 July following the end of its current contract with the Toll Group on 30 June. The move is a part of the Group's Virgin Vision 2017 strategy.
