HNA Group Co., owner of China’s fourth-largest airline, is said to be in talks to acquire ground handler Swissport International Ltd., according to a Bloomberg report quoting unnamed sources. With the launch of a new service on 31 March 2015 by the Chinese cargo airline Yangtze River Express, Munich Airport now offers five weekly cargo flights to China. The B747-400 freighter will arrive in MUC on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Amsterdam and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Brussels before departing for China, landing first in Tianjin and then continuing to Shanghai. Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd., (Boeing Shanghai) has redelivered the third of three B737-400 passenger-to-freighter conversions to Hainan Airlines and Yangtze River Express, both subsidiaries of the HNA Group.
