Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo has seen revenues fall and operating losses deepen on the back of a double-digit yield decline. Air cargo ends 2014 up 4.5% on 2013: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released full-year air cargo data for 2014 showing 4.5 per cent demand growth compared to 2013 measured by freight tonne kilometres (FTKs), marking a "significant acceleration" from the 1.4 per cent recorded in 2013 over 2012. Qantas returns to profitability
Qantas has returned to profitability in the six months ended 31 December 2009 after posting losses in the January-June half of 2009. Qantas posted a net profit of A$58 million (US$52 million) and $6.9 billion in revenue for the half year, compared to a net profit of $210 million and $8 billion in revenue for the same period 2008.
