Ulrich Ogiermann, president and CEO of Cargolux Airlines International, has been elected as the new chairman of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA). Ogiermann was formerly vice chairman of the Association during the two-year chairmanship of Jack Boisen, retired VP Cargo for Continental Airlines, who completed his term of office at TIACA’s AGM earlier this year in Vancouver, Canada.

TIACA members have also elected a new vice chairman; Michael Steen, chief marketing officer of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings. The other newly-elected Board members are: Issa Baluch, chairman of Swift Freight International and Air Cargo Trader; James R. Edgar, regional marketing director, Boeing Commercial Airplanes; Brad Eyster, director of industry affairs, UPS Airlines; Chris Leach, chairman, Air Charter Service; T. James Min II, VP, intl. trade affairs compliance, DHL Express USA; James R. Muhs, VP, FedEx Express; Shahari Sulaiman, MD, MASkargo; StevePrince, publisher, Air Cargo World.
