HAECO has appointed Klaus-Peter Leinauer as vice president of the group’s new commercial division for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

In his new role, Leinauer will be based in Germany and report to the commercial chief in Hong Kong. He will be joined in the team by Peter Eaton and Dennis Kimm, both sales directors for cabin solutions in Europe.

The new ‘group commercial’ division, which started operations in July 2021, will deploy four commercial teams to cover customers in Asia Pacific, the Chinese mainland, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and the Americas. These teams will be in charge of marketing products and services covering airframes, cabin, components and engines.

In other developments, HAECO achieved significant milestones at its engine services facility in Xiamen. The company delivered its 700th GE90 engine output and completed the first job with its state-of the art engine test cell, which is capable of testing the GE9X series engines ahead of future entry into the market.
