Air freight in Asia-Pacific experienced marginal growth of 2.6 per cent year-over-year for the month of April, reported Airports Council International (ACI). Virgin Australia to launch own cargo business
Virgin Australia will launch its own cargo service from 1 July following the end of its current contract with the Toll Group on 30 June. The move is a part of the Group's Virgin Vision 2017 strategy. The launch of Virgin's own cargo service will bring it in direct competition with Toll and Qantas in the air-freight market. China Southern launches Guangzhou-Stansted
China Southern Cargo is the latest major carrier to join Stansted Airport’s global cargo network when it began a new service to Guangzhou n 20 June. The airline now operates two flights a week, rising to three a week later this year, to Stansted from China’s third largest city, using a B777-200 freighter.
