IAG Cargo has completed a number of significant infrastructure upgrades to Premia, its London Heathrow-based premium freight handling facility. Schiphol maintains cargo growth
Cargo tonnage through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has continued its positive trend for the third quarter of 2014, up 6.7 per cent on the same period of 2013, and 8.1 per cent for the year to date. Every month of 2014 to date has exceeded 2013 figures. The third quarter was the strongest in 2014 so far, and also the best for four years - at a total of 409,382 tonnes. Etihad, Avianca to partner on new freighter service
Etihad Cargo will partner with Avianca Cargo through a commercial agreement to deploy a freighter flight from Milan’s Malpensa Airport, Italy, to Bogotá, Colombia and from Bogotá to Amsterdam. The new service will operate twice a week, providing cargo connection between Europe and South America. MASkargo has transported Canada’s art projects from Montreal to the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) in Kuala Lumpur. Tonnage up at PACTL
Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal (PACTL) has achieved year-on-year tonnage growth of 20.31 per cent, reaching a total of 134,322 tonnes of freight in September. Overall, the cargo terminal saw tonnage rise by 16.55 per cent to 1,078,811 tonnes in the first three quarters of 2014.
