Finmeccanica subsidiary Alenia Aeronautica, has successfully completed the "ultimate load testing" of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner horizontal stabiliser. EUROPE & CIS : BAA plans 2nd Stansted runway
British airport operator BAA has submitted a GBP2.5 billion (US$5 billion) plan to the UK Department for Transport to add a second runway and new terminal at London Stansted Airport by 2015. The two-runway, two-terminal airport is expected to open in 2015, serving 68 million passengers a year by 2030. EUROPE & CIS : Finnair begins flights to Yekaterinburg
Finnair is set to launch flights from its Helsinki hub to Yekaterinburg, Russia and increase frequencies to its two established Russian destinations.
