Jet Airways Cargo is following up its success in the UK with a drive to grab a share of the Irish market. The airline now has plenty of cargo space following its introduction of larger B777 aircraft on its primary London-Mumbai route, and can transfer cargo from all Ireland’s major airports using overnight express road feeders. Tata Group, which started India’s fi rst airline in the 1930s, is planning a foray into the manufacture of aircraft components for exports, according to a report in the Times of India. The group is acquiring land at a special economic zone (SEZ) in Nagpur for setting up the component manufacturing plant. Air New Zealand’s annual results are expected to reveal whether provision has been made for possible fi nes related to air-freight price fi xing.
