Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been selected by Airbus to handle its giant Beluga A300-600ST Super Transporter at Airbus facilities in Getafe, Spain. WFS has opened a new station inside the Airbus facilities in Getafe, which will see the aircraft operating between Getafe and the other Airbus plants in Europe on an almost daily basis. Qatar Airways received its first 747-8 freighter at a delivery ceremony attended by His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways group chief executive and Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and CEO Kevin McAllister. Boeing raises forecast for airplane demand in China
Boeing projects a demand for 7,240 new airplanes in China over the next 20 years with a total value of nearly $1.1 trillion dollars, according to its annual China Current Market Outlook (CMO). Airplane demand had also rose 6.3% over last year’s forecast. Boeing and flydubai celebrated the delivery of the airline's first 737 MAX 8, making the Middle East carrier the first in the region to operate Boeing's newest single-aisle airplane.
