Manila-based Cebu Pacific has placed a firm order with Airbus for two A330-300s. Malaysia Airlines announced today an order for 25 B737 MAX 8 aircraft, valued at US$2.75 billion at current list prices. The order also includes purchase rights for additional B737 MAX 8 and B737 MAX 9s. Malaysia Airlines currently operates 56 737-800s. Boeing and Hainan Airlines today celebrated the delivery of the carrier's first B787-9 Dreamliner of 30 due to be delivered. Hainan becomes China's first operator of both the B787-8 and B787-9 variants of the Dreamliner family. Cathay Pacific Airways has become the sixth airline to operate the world’s latest and most efficient twin engine widebody aircraft.
