Confirming what was reported in December by Dutch press, Erik Varwijk, managing director of Air France-KLM Cargo has resigned, effective 1 March after 25 years at the carrier. In a statement Varwijk said: “I have decided that I will not be available for reappointment at the end of my current term on 1 July. Blue Dart December quarter profit rises 17%

India’s Blue Dart Express reported a 17.7 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 27.13 crore for the quarter ended December 2014. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 23.04 crore for the corresponding period a year ago, it said in a filing to the BSE. Total income from operations during the quarter increased to Rs 588.87 crore from Rs 505.50 crore in the same period last financial year. BMW, Bosch join DB in cartel damages claim

Reuters reported that German carmaker BMW and car supplier Bosch would join Deutsche Bahn in two claims for about 2.1 billion euros (US$2.4 billion) in damages from air freight carriers involved in a cartel. 200 ACC3 certs expire without incident: IATA

SW Italia secures its air operators certificate

SW Italia has secured its air operators certificate (AOC) from the Italian civil aviation authority, following the arrival of its first aircraft, B747-400(F) I-SWIA (msn 29729) formerly 4K-SW800 with parent Silk Way West Airlines.
