September saw 9.4% growth for air cargo, IATA reports
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for September 2024 global air cargo markets showing continuing strong annual growth in demand. Total demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTKs*), rose by 9.4% compared to September 2023 levels (10.5% for international operations) for a 14th consecutive month of growth. Preliminary September 2024 traffic figures released today by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) showed healthy growth in both international air passenger and cargo markets, on the back of robust consumer and business demand. Singapore signs air services agreements with five countries to grow air connectivity
Singapore has signed Air Services Agreements (ASAs) with Cuba, Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Seychelles and Switzerland at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN) 2024 which was held in Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 25 October 2024. MAB Kargo obtains first Cargo iQ quality certification
Cross-stakeholder organisation Cargo iQ has certified MAB Kargo after a successful audit for providing quality air freight services to and from its global published network. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that “Aligning for the Future” is the theme of the joint 2024 IATA World Financial Symposium (WFS) and World Passenger Symposium (WPS).
