Preliminary figures for the full calendar year 2014 released by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) showed air cargo markets experienced an encouraging revival in demand after three consecutive years of declines. United faces US$1.3M cargo safety fine
United Airlines faces US$1.3 million fine over cargo. The Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday that inspectors found at least 120 violations during 2013 inspections in Boston, San Francisco, Denver and Chicago. Safety regulators also said that United twice improperly accepted hazardous material for air shipments.
