Royal Jordanian welcomed its fifth 787 aircraft, thus completing the assimilation of the first group of its 787 order. Royal Jordanian’s acting president/CEO Captain Haitham Misto said that the 787s that RJ acquired are a new, advanced generation of the 787. Qatar Airways Cargo took delivery of its fourth Airbus A330-200 freighter. The A330-200F has a payload capability of 70 metric tonnes and a range of up to 4,000 nm (7,400 km), and with its arrival adds even greater capacity to Qatar Airways Cargo’s rapidly expanding fleet. Bangkok Air receives first ATR 72-600s on order
Bangkok Airways took delivery of its first ATR 72-600 at a special ceremony in Toulouse, France. The handover marked a key milestone in the carrier's development as it plans to take delivery of nine new ATR aircraft from now until 2017. The newcomer will join Bangkok Airways' existing fleet of ATR 72-500s and will be operated on the airline's expanding network of domestic and regional services. Kuwait Airways to take 10 new 777-300ERs
Ten new 777-300ER aircraft, worth US$3.3 billion at current list prices, will be delivered to Kuwait Airways from November 2016. The airline will use them to launch new routes, but these routes were undisclosed. Last February, Kuwait Airways agreed to purchase 25 new aircraft including A320-neos and A350s.
