Spain’s Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Commission said in a preliminary report into the 20 August Spanair MD-82 crash released recently that the inquiry is focused on the aircraft’s flaps. A senior management team from Reunion-based Air Austral (UU) has been in Australia working with its general sales agent World Aviation Cargo ahead of its planned start-up in April next year. Airbus will meet its target of delivering 12 A380 super jumbo aircraft this year, the company’s chief executive pledged recently, brushing aside reports that manufacturing and engineering difficulties had again put the project behind schedule.
