Air China has started a new three-year cargo and ramp handling agreement with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Liege (LGG), Belgium. Last week China's newest mega airport the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport officially started operations, with Sichuan Airlines operating the inaugural flight bound for Beijing. Air China has extended its cargo handling agreements with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) at two key airports in Europe as the airline tries to capitalise on key trade lanes connected to the mainland. Collins Aerospace is expanding a longstanding support agreement for Air China’s aircraft fleet, together with aircraft maintenance and engineering firm Ameco. Chinese flag carrier Air China on 18 March said it inked a deal to buy 18 narrow-body jets from AFS Investments Inc, a subsidiary of aircraft lessor GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).
